The Veterinary Centre is an independent, small animal practice with its main surgery in Henley on Thames and a branch surgery in Twyford. Since 1995, they have experienced significant growth, expanding from two vets and four support staff to 15 vets and more than 40 support staff. They offer a comprehensive range of services, including surgical facilities, home visits, dentistry, vaccinations, neutering, hospital facilities, lab, x-ray, microchipping, and pet health plans. They pride themselves on maintaining a friendly, personal, and non-corporate ethos despite their success. The Veterinary Centre aims to be accessible to all pet owners in the catchment area of their surgeries, offering extended opening hours and their own out-of-hours emergency service. They also provide home visits and have a team of experienced vets and nurses, including those with over thirty years of experience. They strive to provide value for money, charging honest and transparent fees based on the time taken for procedures. They do not artificially lower fees and have low margins on drugs and consumables. Additionally, they offer nurse clinics at lower costs, providing services such as dressing changes, post-operation check-ups, weight clinics, dietary advice, and first aid courses. The Veterinary Centre focuses on delivering high-quality veterinary care while ensuring accessibility, compassion, and transparency for all pet owners.
