About us

Border Vets is a small and friendly veterinary practice with branches in Galashiels and Selkirk. They have been providing personalized and community-focused care for pets in the Borders area since the 1940s. Their mission is to make every patient and client feel like part of their family and to help local pets live long, happy, and healthy lives. With a team of experienced professionals and modern facilities, including a brand new x-ray machine, ultrasound scanners, and haematology and biochemistry tools, they are able to deliver the highest levels of veterinary care. They offer a range of services tailored to meet the individual needs of each pet, including vaccinations, neutering, microchipping, flea, tick and worm treatments, dental care, and end-of-life care. Border Vets is proud to be a cat-friendly practice with ISFM silver status and separate cat and dog wards, creating a stress-free environment for their patients and clients. As a member of the VetPartners group, they continually strive to improve their services and uphold their long-standing family values. They also play an active role in the community by supporting local businesses, sponsoring events, and giving classes at rescue shows.
